AUGUST CATCH UP

11/8/2013

So its been a few months since my last blog post, but things this end haven't stopped - not for one minute.

Theres lots of stuff going on that i actually can't talk about at this point in time.  I will be able to in a few months, but its all being kept under wraps till such a time the world can see what we have created.

But the stuff i can talk about.

1) I assisted on a friend of mine Clare Cahill's short film The Pit and the Pendulum through out July - Starring Stephen Marcus, Paul Macgann and many many others.  Shooting on Red Epic and Canon Glass.

2) We finally got around to starting to shoot a trailer for a feature film a friend of mine is Directing called Bruneval.  Its a true epic WW2 tale and we will be filming that on an off for the next few months building up the the night battles later in the year.  Again Red Epic and Nikon Glass.

That's it for now.

The next update will be VERY VERY soon.

April madness.

It's certainly looking like April is going to be insane. And that's the perfect word to describe it.

Today I am photographing my friend Jay Brown (Youngers, The Hunters, Rise and Fall of the Essex Boys) for ES magazine. We will be shooting across London trying to capture that perfect shot to be published. Such a shame it's overcast today but we shall see what we can come up with.

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I last created a blog entry for my site and as its Easter and a day of rest I thought I would get round to it.

So.   The past two months have been incredibly hectic and frenetic with work - both filming and writing. Three commercials have been shot, one short horror film for Bloodycuts, one feature film and lots of greenscreen.

Things are progressing nicely with Sleeper. Most of which I can't actually talk about, but will hopefully be able to soon but it's all going in the right direction and I'm insanely excited to start the next stage and get it to pre-production soon.

The next few weeks are going to be tense and never wracking - cant wait.

These past few weeks have been incredibly hectic and stressed but amazing at the same time. A new project is forging ahead (news on that to come soon) and my new showreel is nearing completion.

A cold day to shoot.

This week I had the pleasure of photographing a good actress friend of mine Chloe Farnworth in some cinematic stills using my new Nikon D800. And in pleased to say they came out great.

Chloe was a trooper as it was really really cold this past weekend and traipsing through muddy fields to get to the location covered everything in sticky mud.

The shots turned out great.

This week has been a bit manic. Prepping for my Locked film shoot. Monday was a commercial for Log book Loans for London Creative.

The latter half of this week was a night shoot filming in a busy hotel kitchen shooting all sorts of amazing stuff.

Now it's time to relax and have the rest of the weekend off - and by that I mean writing ACID and LOCKED.

Good morning. This weekend was another eventful one shooting on IRONGATE. We were on the cliffs at Beachy Head shooting horses and the actors running. It was challenging as it was a Sunday and open to the public, but the shots look amazing and EPiC!

We had a 24ft crane on the back of a truck and a steadicam unit. Both shooting Red with Ultra Primes.

The crane and Epic.

Irongate continues without its DOP this Monday as I'm away shooting a previously booked corporate shoot.

Coming up this week . . .

Two corporate shoots - and the first block of action on my short film LOCKED.

Hey. Forgive the lack of updates I have been away filming these past few weeks. I've currently been DPing a 1850's film trailer called IRONGATE. We started out shooting on the highseas creating some amazing shots.
Picture
Then went on to shoot on the HMS Warrior in Portsmouth - steadicam Red One and Epic shots.
Picture
Then for the last two days of the shoot we were in a lovely manor house in the Cotswolds shooting with both of my Epics.
Picture
The final days shooting involved a camera car platform and and horse and cart following along behind. Shots look amazing.

Looks like the feature might go ahead now so could be a good few months DP work coming up.

To be continued . . .

Hello everyone. This past week has been completely crazy and beyond. Deep in prep on a short film #Locked and currently writing the treatment to turn that short into a feature film
Picture
A sneak peek at the set above. Should be an interesting concept for a feature film. So that makes another film in development.

Next up: I've been brought on board to DP the trailer for a feature called Irongate set in 1852. Monday we location scouted a few locations. Amazing places.

Tudor House for one scene.

Amazing tall ship we are filming on in a few weeks.
So that's it for now. The rest of the week is just as busy.
